Flowmation Technical Specifications.
Fully Web Enabled
Flowmation is built from the ground up to be a fully web based application. This construction is being utilised by the next generation of software applications, taking advantage of the universal adoption of the internet.
Being web based, there is no need to install a client - anyone with Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox or Netscape will be able to access Flowmation. This capability means that Flowmation is inherently cross platform and will operate on any Windows, Macintosh or even Linux clients.
It also means that access can be anywhere you can access the internet from, whether that is the office, the home or, increasingly, on the move. All that is required is a username and password.
Standards based
Flowmation is J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) compliant. This platform is well established as the benchmark for developing, deploying and running distributed multi-tier architecture applications on an application server. Flowmation as an enterprise application is portable between platforms and is fully scalable whilst still integrating with legacy technologies.
Flowmation utilises industry standard SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle giving a wide range of suitable options from the SME to the largest enterprise. SQL was adopted as a standard by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) in 1986 and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in 1987.
SQL is the most popular language used to create, modify, retrieve and manipulate data from relational database management systems (RDBMS). As Flowmation does not tie data down in a proprietary format it is open to integration with many other applications including Accounts, CRM and MIS systems.
